– PYKE ‘N’ POMMES –
[ Making our city tAste better ]
Pyke ‘N’ Pommes (PNPs) opened in Derry/Londonderry in 2013, but our story began long before. Following more than twenty years perfecting his craft in some of the world’s finest kitchens, Kevin Pyke (our founder) returned home to Northern Ireland with a fresh understanding of what food could be. From the most humble beginnings in an adapted van situated by the River Foyle, the result is ambitious and authentic street food, prepared by hand each day using only the freshest ingredients.
In 2015, we retrofitted an old and beat-up shipping container into a fully equipped street food kitchen and took up permanent residence on the river front. The new eatery, POD, was soon joined by Decky (our carefully converted double decker bus with heating, tunes and comfortable seating for 60) in 2018, bringing the total seating available at POD to 100.
In April 2019, we took the next step in the PNPs journey: a licensed restaurant experience. Initially at 57 Strand Road, we quickly outgrew the space. In 2020, we completely renovated an adjacent building to become 53-55. Continuing our obsession with quality, locally sourced ingredients, we warmly welcome anyone who’s hungry for something different.
Pyke 'N' Pommes is now an internationally-acclaimed, award-winning street food eatery combining a passion for both flavour and the community we serve.
